Audit and marketing support for an SME in China

From June 27 to July 5, 2025, AVe experts Jean-Baptiste Génin and Maryse Michotey visited Flexkys in Nanjing, Jiangsu province, China

FLEXKYS ELEC TECH CO, a company specializing in the design and manufacture of man-machine interaction solutions, offers its customers around the world a wide range of quality products, customized or not, such as: tactile switches, membrane panels, silicone keyboards, plastic components, printed circuits, flexible pressure sensors... These products are used in household appliances, commercial, medical and sports equipment, industrial control instruments...

Flexkys ensures the quality and traceability of all products manufactured by the production site best suited to customer requirements.

The aim of this mission was to:

  • Conduct an audit of the company
  • Understand Flexkys' organization, offer, flows, services, supplies, markets and customers.
  • Propose an action plan with recommendations/suggestions for progress at international level.

After a presentation of Flexkys by Thomson (CEO), the 2 experts:

  • Analyzed, optimized and validated the workflow with Thomson
  • Visited and audited 2 production centers in Zhejiang province
  • Proposed a marketing approach
  • Analyzed the working method of the sales department with the 3 employees involved
  • Proposed modifications to the Flexkys website with Thomson's endorsement
  • Suggested an action plan to explore and develop the European market
Suggested action plan:
  1. Look for a Chinese representative based in Europe to physically meet potential customers. Previous actions (presence at trade fairs, Chinese Chamber of Commerce, business associations...) have been unsuccessful. AVe suggests a profile and will work with Thomson on this proposal.
  2. Improve sales team training: Chinese training center chosen by Thomson.
  3. Improve customer contacts, mainly by e-mail

 b. Highlight the advantages of Flexkys:
  • 13 years' experience: company founded in 2002 by Thomson, CEO
  • More than 2,000 projects developed
  • More than 500 customers worldwide
  • Flexibility on quantities
  • Service (assembly, test center)
  • Quality: compliant with GB standards
  • ISO 9001 certification
  1. Reflect on how to deal with difficulties encountered by the sales department
    • By telephone: some customers don't speak English.
    • In writing: offer ignored or not received by the customer
    • Is the recipient of the offer the right decision-maker?

This mission was very rewarding, with a remarkable welcome and availability from Thomson and his team. The collaboration continues remotely.
